More about Green Calgary…

Green Calgary is an environmental charity dedicated to investing in Calgary’s greener future since 1975. The organization provides programs and services to enhance environmental education in Alberta schools, primarily focusing on grades K-9, and to guide community members toward environmental stewardship. School and community programs promote climate resilience by educating and providing services to support water conservation, energy efficiency, waste management, and more.

Over almost five decades, Green Calgary has developed a strong presence in the community as a trusted resource for environmental stewardship and is actively engaged in the environmental network in Alberta. It has cultivated and maintained crucial partnerships with diverse audiences and stakeholders within the environmental sector, such as the City of Calgary, the Alberta Council for Environmental Education, the Calgary Horticultural Society, and various community associations and newcomer and immigrant-serving agencies.
