We’re pleased to announce that Ali Abel was chosen as IABC Calgary’s latest Volunteer of the Quarter!
Ali currently volunteers with the Member Communications portfolio and so far this term has helped to create a writing style and how-to guide for our chapter website. She has been writing the blog posts that we all see in weekly updates and on the site since 2012. She is also involved in our mentorship program as a mentor – and wanted us to give a shout out to her mentee, Melanie! Ali enjoys having the opportunity to meet Board members and gain exposure to others who share her passion for advancing the Communications profession in Calgary. She takes full advantage of her membership with IABC and chose to volunteer as a way to give a little something back. Plus volunteering looks great on her resume! Congratulations Ali!
The Volunteer of the Quarter program involves IABC/Calgary board members nominating outstanding volunteers to be profiled, in recognition of their contribution to the association. The IABC/Calgary board extends congratulations to Ali for being selected as our Volunteer of the Quarter. Thank you Ali for your dedication and generous contribution to IABC/Calgary!
