The International Association of Business Communicators Canada has named Allison MacKenzie, ABC of Calgary and Lynn Barter, ABC of St. John’s as this year’s recipients of the prestigious Master Communicator designation.
Congratulations to both recipients and a special recognition goes out to Allison for representing the best of Calgary’s communicators Canada-wide. We are proud of you!
Allison applies her experience as a communication professional and her outstanding academic achievements to teach a wide variety of communication and public relations courses to university students at all levels. Outside the classroom, she serves as an executive member of the Faculty Association and as a member of numerous other administrative committees. She is currently Chair of the IABC Academy and is a Past President of IABC/Calgary.
Lynn has contributed thousands of volunteer hours to further the communication profession, helping communication professionals and business executives grow their knowledge and advance their careers through strategic communication, and being a champion for the Association through her work. Lynn is a past president of IABC NL, a past chair of IABC Canada East and current Gold Quill chair. She is a strong role model for those aspiring to a career in our profession and an inspiration to those who work with her.
