Executive Assistant – Government & Public Affairs and Research‐INT00542
We currently have an opening for an Executive Administrative Assistant to provide professional and confidential administrative support to the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs and the Manager of Research. This position also assists the Community Investment Coordinator as required. This position is based in Edmonton, Alberta at our Research and Development Facility.

Overall Accountabilities:
 To provide executive level administrative support to the Vice President and the Manager, while balancing a demanding workload and exercising mature judgment and decision making
 Receive inquiries from employees, internal and external departments and external stakeholders and government officials, on behalf of the Vice President and Manager, and respond or direct to those as required
 Act as the Vice President and Manager’s representative in interpreting and communicating requests and feedback to others, maintaining a good rapport with all staff including Executive, Senior Management and Committee members and external audiences
 Manage calendars, coordinate travel plans, complete expense claims for the Vice President and the Manager
 Other department administrative duties, i.e., timekeeping, taxable benefit entries, scorecard preparation, accruals, expense claim reviews
 Assist Community Investment Coordinator with event management support and Good Neighbours Program applications and other duties as required

Specific Accountabilities:
 Support for Vice President, and the Government and Public Affairs Team (50%)
 Support for Manager, Research (10%)
 Support for Community Investment Coordinator (30%)
 Other tasks as directed by Vice President and Manager (10%)

Qualifications
Experience and Education

 Business/Office Administration Diploma or Certificate ‐ or other post‐secondary education (will be an asset)
 5‐10 years of executive level administrative support experience supporting a senior Vice President or higher

Skills and Knowledge
 Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products and other information technology
 Flexible self‐starter who works well with little supervision in a challenging environment with strong ownership of their work
 Extremely well organized with solid priority management skills
 Respect of confidentiality and attention to detail
 Ability to react quickly to change with adept problem‐solving abilities
 Diplomacy and tact in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
This is an Edmonton based position and will remain open until filled.
