Agilus is recruiting for a Communications Specialist I in the oil & gas industry in Calgary, Alberta.
We are seeking a contract communications advisor to join our public & government affairs team. This position will provide strategic and tactical support for Imperial’s digital channels (employee communications, social media, etc.) Experience in the oil and gas industry is considered an asset.
A typical day:
- As a contract communications advisor, you will:
- Provide strategic counsel and tactical support for internal communications strategy.
- Support strategy and content development for Imperial’s social media platforms
- Evaluate effectiveness of communications programs and gain business insight through regular collection and assessment of research and data.
- Proactively identify emerging communications/digital trends; provide communications advice and recommend appropriate strategic plans for implementation.
- Support other P&GA functions, including community investment.
Successful candidates will have:
- At least three years of related work experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong strategic planning skills along with ability to implement plans.
- Digitally-savvy, experience managing social media is an asset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.
- Post-secondary degree/diploma in communications, public relations, or a related field
