Running one of the largest and most successful IABC chapters in the world takes a village, and at IABC/Calgary we are fortunate to have some of the most passionate and enthusiastic communication professionals pitching in.
Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience, from keen students, curious new communicators, seasoned leaders and industry experts. They serve as mentors and mentees, advisors and advocates, every single one of them helping advance our profession and our chapter.
Over the years, our volunteers have organized networking and professional development events, produced content for our social media and digital channels, facilitated conversations and enriched our community. They have created opportunities for members to connect, create and collaborate together, fostering a culture of shared knowledge and community building.
On the board level and through our volunteer roster, the joint dedication to excellence has earned our chapter a multitude of awards and accolades, including the IABC Chapter Management Award—which recognizes outstanding leadership and governance—and numerous awards of merit for our portfolios, including Mentorship, Finance, Student Engagement and more.
As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to our volunteers for their unwavering commitment, passion and hard work. Thank you for making a difference in our chapter and our community.
