We’re accepting applications for the Gift of Communications Program and we need your help!
Help us help Calgary’s non-profit organizations with the Gift of Communications. The Gift of Communications offers non-profits access to the talent of IABC communicators. To give back to our community, we offer brainstorming and strategy development workshops to help non-profits with their communications needs.
If you’re involved with or know a non-profit organization that could benefit from guidance from professional communicators, please share this page. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, but the program runs from February to April.
Are you a nonprofit organization in need of a Gift of Communications? Apply today for our upcoming 2024 Gift of Communications Program by filling out this form. The program runs between February and April, and consists of one 3-hour brainstorming and strategy development session in which communicators work with an organization’s representative to determine their communications needs, limitations and resources and develop a concrete plan for the non-profit to follow. We will select 1-3 non-profits based on the number of communications volunteers. All applications will be reviewed and a wait list will be created if needed.
What we do?
- Create a communications strategy
- Book a one-day session with communicators
- We do not help execute the plan, but we work to understand your organization’s current resources and how we can best use those to execute a plan.
What is a Communications Plan and why do non-profits need one?
- They provide guidelines for your teams or volunteers to follow.
- We’ll create concrete steps towards organization’s goals.
- Includes brainstorming new ideas on how to best use your non-profits’ current resources to strengthen your overall communications long term.
