President – Tim Shaw
Tim is a long-time IABC member and has been involved as a volunteer with both the Calgary and Toronto chapters. He brings over 10 years experience in planning and implementing advocacy and communications strategies in the healthcare, non-profit, pharma, tech and energy industries.
Past President – Natasha Qereshniku
With ten years of experience, Natasha is a senior communicator who has worked on strategic, cross-corporate communications for both internal and external audiences in support of highly complex programs. With a focus on strategic problem-solving, issues management and senior leadership support, she currently leads communications for The City of Calgary’s high-profile Business Friendly initiatives. Prior to that, she led communications for The City’s 2019-2022 planning and budget cycle. Natasha holds a BA in Communications Studies from the University of Calgary and completed coursework in collaborative conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation.

Director, Administration – Candice Fulgencio
Candice is a professional communicator with close to 15 years of experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors and has spent the last six years working in the technology industry. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Calgary and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Journalism from Mount Royal University.
Director, Finance – Jessica Snow
Jessica has 12 years of marketing and communications experience working in international non-profit and public sector organizations, including Engineers Without Borders, the German International Cooperation Agency, CUSO and the Department of Global Affairs. Jessica holds a B Comm from the University of Calgary and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto. She currently works as a Communications and Marketing Manager at the University of Calgary.
Co-Director, Career Services (Company of One) – Alyssa Berry
Alyssa has 18 years of marketing and communications experience in municipal government, recreation, culture, and tourism. In 2015, Alyssa launched Alyssa Berry Communications, a boutique firm specializing in providing full-service strategies for clients in the tourism and culture sectors. Dedicated to her city, Alyssa volunteers with IABC Calgary’s mentorship program, sits as past-president for Doors Open YYC and is stylist for the Making Changes Society.
Co-Director, Career Services (Mentorship) – Kristin McVeigh
Kristin has long believed that work and enjoyment never have to be mutually exclusive and has cultivated a career full of passion and purpose. She’s worked professionally in the field of communications for over 6 years in the not-for-profit sector. Increasing her involvement in the community of communications professionals has led her to volunteering with IABC for over 3 years. A lifelong learner, Kristin continues to compliment her Communications Degree from the U of C and Television Production Diploma from SAIT with a series of courses including social media, branding and event planning.
Director, Marketing – Jennifer Atkinson
Jennifer has over 11 years of experience in the non-profit and public sectors. She currently works on The City of Calgary’s high-performing social media team, leading complex campaigns with a focus on community management. In 2019, she introduced influencer marketing to the organization. She also manages a parenting Instagram account with over 30,000 followers, collaborating with brands like McDonald’s, Michelin, Walmart and more.
Co-Director, Member Communication (Web) – Kathryn Jenkins
Kathryn is an award-winning communication professional with more than 20 years’ experience working in the non-profit, government and private sectors. She is a creative problem solver, whose results-oriented mindset empowers teams to achieve business improvement and growth objectives leading to elevating organizational communications to world-class standards. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary.
Co-Director, Member Communication (Newsletter) – Jenica Foster
Jenica has a Bachelor of Communication in Journalism and a Minor in Marketing from MRU. Over the past six years she has worked for a commercial property management company managing communications and business development. Jenica has volunteered for IABC/Calgary since 2017 and recently completed Digital Communications and Social Media for Business Certificates.
Director, Membership – Brianne Davis
Brianne has over six years of communication and marketing experience and is currently a Communications and Training Advisor at TC Energy. She enjoys building relationships and helping others to communicate effectively. Brianne has been involved in the IABC/Calgary Mentorship Program for the past four years. She has a Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing degree from the University of Calgary.
Co-Director, Professional Development – Terry Cunha
An effective communications professional with over 20 years of experience and a graduate of the University of Calgary’s EMBA program. At TC Energy, Terry use his skills in media relations, issues management and crisis communications every day on projects that make a positive difference in communities across North America.
Co-Director, Professional Development – Nicole Ouellet
Nicole is an accredited business communicator (ABC) with 20 years’ experience as a professional communicator working in multiple industries, including post-secondary, oil & gas, health care, and government. Currently she works for Suncor as a senior advisor, workplace strategy communications and support the organization to transform and prepare for a workplace which is people-focused, technology enabled and data informed. Nicole lives in Calgary with her two daughters and her twin sister and their dog, mocha. When she’s not busy ‘communicating’ she enjoys hiking in the mountains and exploring new venues, attending live events, etc.
Director, Professional Standards – Donna Sinclair
Donna has been in the industry for over 20 years, working in both private and public sectors. Having previously been involved in IABC as a Gold Quill judge and with IABC/Calgary as a co-facilitator for the Accreditation Completion Program, exam proctor and as Director of Volunteer Services from 2014-2017, Donna is looking forward to contributing once again to our great organization.
Director, Student Development – Tracy Posadowski
Tracy’s passion is creating award-winning strategies to engage customers and employees. Armed with technology, good old-fashioned story telling and over 15 years of experience, Tracy most recently served as the Director of Business Development and Marketing for a UK-based FinTech where she successfully expanded the company into 12 markets across Europe. Embarking on a new adventure in early 2020, Tracy has held senior marketing and communications positions with Long View Systems, SMART Technologies and TELUS. Away from work, you’ll find her on the slopes debating how early is too early for après ski or golfing (badly).
Director, Sponsorship – Dean Paddock
Dean is the Director of Communications and Marketing at YYC Calgary International Airport. Prior to joining the airport, he led public affairs and brand management teams in the banking and energy sectors. At the airport, Dean oversees communications, marketing, and designing experiences that both reflect and activate YYC’s brand.
Director, Volunteer Services – Kristen Dyck
Kristen is founder of AVRO Creative where she is a personal brand strategist. Previously she was Communications Manager, later Communications Advisor to the President at United Way Calgary. Today, she uses more than ten years of marketing, communication and brand experience helping women achieve their goals with her personal branding process.
